Art show at the CAC

Went down to an art show at the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati (http://www.contemporaryartscenter.org/).

The (untitled) amorphic thing behind them is made from thousands of styrofoam cups.

Olney in 2009

I visited Olney this past week, for the first time in 4 years. Its hard to believe its been over 7 since I first found the campus, and everything is just a little bit different. I made a slideshow of a lot of the images.

The audio was kinda thrown together at the last minute (thanks to Alix I pulled it off), but its still wanting. I plan on returning to collect more interviews and make a real audio track.

MURDER!

I wiggled my way into (see: showed up to) a Criminal Justice program crime scene training simulation.

Two dead by strangulation, the culprit was a jealous girlfriend. The simulation included a crime scene and interrogation.

1200 Degrees

Last night Jenn tipped me off that the DAAP Foundry class was meeting, so I immidiately geared up and headed over there to see if I could get anything good for class. She forgot to mention that they wouldn't just be polishing and refining pieces, but they would be pouring molten bronze into moulds.

I got there with 5 minutes to spare before they started the pour; I consider myself pretty lucky.
